On October 30, four New York Institute of Technology students received scholarships from the FRIENDS of the School of Architecture and Design, which hosted its 17th Annual Alumni and FRIENDS Reception at Guastavino's in New York City. Each year, the FRIENDS of the School of Architecture and Design awards scholarships to well-rounded, hard-working students who excel in their area of study. This year's recipients included: -Latoya Deleon, fourth-year interior design student -Jack Bogdan, fourth-year architectural technology student -Deborah Seyilnen Parradang, fifth-year architecture student -Katrina Deicmane, fifth-year architecture student (FRIENDS Edward J. Fulford Scholarship)

New York Institute of Technology has awarded six students Edward Guiliano Global Fellowships so that they may carry out travel-related projects during the spring 2024 semester. Since 2014, New York Tech has offered dozens of students the chance to broaden their academic and cultural perspectives through travel with Edward Guiliano Global Fellowships. Grants range from $750 to $5,000. Students utilize their awards for creative expression, research, and cultural activities for personal development outside of their comfort zone through travel, as projects must take place at least 200 miles from the student's home or the New York Tech campus.

New York Institute of Technology awarded Edward Guiliano Global Fellowships to nine students to carry out travel-related projects during the spring 2022 semester.

One hundred sixty students have been awarded the Theodore K. Steele Memorial Scholarship at New York Institute of Technology. The scholarship is awarded to first-year students with a high school average of 96 or higher.

Eighteen students have been awarded the President's Scholarship at New York Institute of Technology. This is the highest scholarship awarded to incoming first-year students.

As seen in The Box, two NYIT College of Engineering and Computing Sciences students have been awarded the Department of Defense (DoD) Cyber Scholarship (CySP). Zachary Singleton, a graduate student studying cybersecurity, and Michael Valenzuela, an undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science-network security, will each receive the full cost of tuition, books, and required fees. In exchange for a full scholarship, the students will perform a service obligation with the DoD as civilian employees. The DoD gives the scholarship as a grant to designated Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) schools. Only students at designated CAE-CDE schools are permitted to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship program is designed to encourage the recruitment of the nation's top cyber talent and the retention of DoD personnel who have skills necessary to meet DoD's cyber requirements and help secure our nation against threats of information systems and networks.

New York Institute of Technology students completed travel-related projects during the summer and fall of 2019 as part of the Edward Guiliano Global Fellowship program. Students traveled to: Mexico City, Mexico Costa Rica Bogota, Colombia San Francisco, California Hanoi, Vietnam Xi'an, China Guilin, China

Four NYIT architecture students are presented with Friends of NYIT School of Architecture and Design scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year during an annual lecture event attended by students, alumni, and faculty. New York State Senator Elaine Phillips was the guest of honor at the event.

NYITCOM at A-State is proud to announce that second-year medical students Margaret Kell of Paragould, AR and Anand Baghat of Boynton Beach, FL have been named the first recipients of NYITCOM at A-State's first endowed scholarship.
