Michael McCartin Awarded Guiliano Fellowship for Travel

New York Institute of Technology student Michael McCartin of Lexington, Mass., has been awarded an Edward Guiliano Global Fellowship to travel to Bogota, Colombia in June and July. McCartin, a medical student, will pursue a month-long project to assist in providing healthcare in some of Bogota's underserved neighborhoods. McCartin studies at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Old Westbury.

Since 2014, NYIT has offered dozens of students the chance to broaden their academic and cultural perspectives through travel with Guiliano Global Fellowships. The university awards grants of $500, $2,500, and $5,000 each semester.
