New York Tech Announces Tuition Freeze
Will Freeze Current Tuition and Fees for the Summer 2021 Term and for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 Semesters
Old Westbury, NY (09/28/2020) — In recognition of the financial strain the COVID-19 pandemic has placed on students and their families, New York Institute of Technology will freeze current tuition and fees for the summer 2021 term as well as for the fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters. In addition, to further support students during the application process, the university has established a test-optional policy, priority deadlines allowing for early admissions and financial aid consideration, and enhanced online admissions and financial aid resources.
"We stand committed to providing our current and future students with an outstanding college education that is accessible and affordable," notes President Henry C. "Hank" Foley, Ph.D. "Our recent rankings reflect New York Tech's laser focus on offering our students the highest-quality experience and exceptional outcomes, including an 8-point jump to #34 on U.S. News & World Report Best Universities in the North for 2021 and a #33 rank in New York State in the 2021 Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education College Rankings.
For nearly a decade, New York Tech has maintained one of the lowest tuitions among private universities in New York State, while offering generous financial aid packages, small class sizes, low faculty-to-student ratios, and competitive returns on investment for students, based on alumni salaries and the fact that 94% of students are employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation.
